The Floating Stone Plate by Sobaek is a ceramic plate inspired by the form and legend of the 'floating stone' that appears in the foundation myth of Buseoksa Temple on Sobaeksan Mountain. At first glance, it resembles a simple diamond-shaped stone, but upon knowing the legend, it takes on new meaning as a shell imbued with the spirit of Seonmyo. Among all pieces in the Sobaek series, this plate features the most minimalist form with a clean design that retains only the lines essential to its function. The three holes on the top create entirely different uses depending on how you utilize them. You can blend fragrances by inserting multiple incense sticks, or add your own personal touch by using it as a teacup saucer, single-serve wine plate, dessert tray, or key holder. The distinctive diagonal line is designed to allow the plate to be naturally lifted from the table, and when displayed alongside the Sobaek Moon Jar Meditation Object, it completes a harmonious arrangement. The entire plate is crafted from solid ceramic and comes in three color options. Hukcja (Black Stone): Matte finish expressing the rough texture of actual floating stone using iron Baekja (Water White): Glossy finish with a clear, calm water tone tinged with light blue Chungja (Sky Blue): Limited edition with an artistic pattern blending sky blue and yellow Price: 86,000 KRW each Design copyright registered with the Korean Intellectual Property Office.
