Can I buy from Pocamarket internationally?
The short answer: Pocamarket (포카마켓) is Korea's dedicated K-pop photocard marketplace. It has introduced official international purchasing for parts of its catalog — use that first where it covers you. But large parts of the market remain domestic-reality: Korean payment rails, domestic delivery between traders, and listings that only make sense with a Korean address. For those, a Korea-side buying service is the workaround: request a listing by URL and we'll tell you honestly whether it's buyable.
What Pocamarket is
A marketplace built specifically for photocard trading — individual collectors listing single cards with condition photos, escrow-style protections, and domestic shipping between users. It professionalized what used to happen in Twitter DMs.
The honest split: official global vs proxy
- Official global purchasing: Pocamarket has been expanding official international checkout for overseas buyers. Where your card and destination are supported, that's the simplest route — use it directly.
- Where proxy still matters: domestic-only listings, sellers who only ship domestically, payment methods that fail for foreign cards, and buying photocards together with everything else you're ordering from Korea so they ride one consolidated parcel instead of paying international shipping per card.
We'd rather tell you that than pretend proxy is the answer to everything.
How proxy buying works for photocards
- Send the listing URL to Request an item — secondhand listings are one-of-a-kind, so speed matters.
- We confirm and buy on the Korean side, and the card ships domestically to our Seoul hub.
- Outward check and consolidation — cards are checked for outward condition against the listing photos and packed flat with your other items; one tracked parcel, US customs prepaid at checkout.
Condition expectations, honestly
Photocards are secondhand collectibles sold on the seller's photos and grading. We check outward condition at the hub and flag clear mismatches, but card grading is subjective — read the listing photos carefully before you commit. See also buying secondhand K-pop from Korea.
Why overseas buyers trust KOSURAN
- Track every step. Your order timeline shows each item move through purchase, Seoul-hub check, consolidation, customs, and dispatch — no black box after you pay.
- Wrong or damaged? We make it right. Store credit back immediately (no return shipping needed), or a refund to your original payment method — and if we sent the wrong item, we cover the return.
- Real support within 24 hours (99% of the time), in English.
- Fast, tracked delivery — about 2 business days from our Seoul hub to your door by express courier (UPS/DHL), not weeks by sea.
Common questions
Should I use Pocamarket's official international option or a proxy?
If the listing and your destination are covered by the official option, use it — it's the simplest route. Proxy buying is for what it doesn't cover: domestic-only listings and payment walls, or consolidating cards with a bigger Korean haul.
Can you verify a photocard is genuine?
We check outward condition against the listing at our Seoul hub, but we can't authenticate cards. Buy from sellers whose photos and history you trust — the marketplace's own protections plus careful listing reading are your main tools.
Is buying secondhand photocards through a proxy safe?
The trade protections are the marketplace's own; what we add is a reliable Korean address, Korean payment, an outward condition check and consolidated tracked shipping. We'll tell you before buying if a listing looks problematic.
