Hohohodo presents a new saekdong design inspired by the traditional saekdong found on the back of a scroll document from autumn 2024, in which King Yeongjo appointed Lady Kim Jeongsu as Queen. The basket is completed in two colors—green and yellow—evoking the refined attire of scholars and the aged appearance of book covers. Saekdong is a traditional pattern long used in precious settings, believed to ward off negative energy and bring good fortune. The saekdong basket is made by wrapping a sturdy woven bamboo sieve with saekdong cloth, making it perfect for Chuseok gift sets. Fill it generously with fruits or Korean sweets and present it as a truly one-of-a-kind gift. After receiving it, the basket can be repurposed in everyday life as a picnic bag or storage container for small items.
