Hohodang's Saekdong Gift Set 'Good Sleep' Inspired by the saekdong backing on the reverse side of a scroll document created when King Yeongjo of the Joseon Dynasty appointed Queen Jeong-sun Kim as royal consort, Hohodang presents two new saekdong colorways for autumn 2024. They are reinterpreted with restrained colors reminiscent of scholar robes or the covers of classical books. Saekdong is a traditional color combination historically used at precious occasions including first birthday celebrations, symbolizing the warding off of negative energy and the attraction of good fortune. The saekdong basket is completed by wrapping a sturdy bamboo sieve with saekdong bojagi (wrapping cloth) and contains a set of two Hohodang products for good sleep.
